Ivor Hill, M.D., M.B., Ch.B.,professor of Pediatrics at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, has been awarded theDistinguished Service Award by the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN).
This award recognizes members of NASPGHAN for excellence and service to the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. It is granted to individuals who have made major contributions to child health in the fields of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology or nutrition and have achieved national or international recognition.
The mission of NASPGHAN is to improve the care of infants, children and adolescents with digestive disorders by promoting advances in clinical care, research and education. The members of NASPGHAN is made up of more than 1,400 pediatric gastroenterologists predominantly in 46 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Mexico and eight provinces in Canada.
The award ceremony will take place this October at the annual NASPGHAN meeting in Orlando.
